The barn owls in my neighborhood are elusive, and the only times I’ve seen them are in flight. They like to perch by the elementary school nearby. When my son went there he would come home with stories of the owls hiding in the trees.
The textured background in this piece is so moody. It looks like a saturated dark grayish green in indirect light, and it just glows in the sun!
