Fig Tree Leaf Beetle
This beetle is loosely based on fig tree leaf eaters which make an appearance in late summer in Southern California. They are a beautiful iridescent green!
The cloisonné shell was created by wet packing several layers of transparent enamel on copper and multiple firings in the kiln. Hand fabricated setting in fine and sterling silver.
